Not all fruits and vegetables are created equal, there are some that offer nutritional value far beyond standard fruits and vegetables.
Superfruits provide concentrated amounts of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that bodies need with fewer calories. Many superfruits, including the acai berry, goji berry, noni berry, Mangosteen fruit, sea buckthorn berry and cacao, are generally grown abroad and are most readily available to consumers in the form of juices, chews, vitamins and supplements.
The typical is diet completely void of the vitamins and nutrients that our bodies need and quite frankly, it is slowly killing all of us. “A diet that combines superfruits like the acai berry and goji berry with readily available fresh produce like spinach, blackberries and sweet potatoes will help fight the damage in our bodies and lead us to optimum vitality.” according to sought-after celebrity nutritionist Dr. Lindsey Duncan, ND, CN, whose clients have included Courtney Cox, Marc Jacobs and Demi Moore.
Another benefit of consuming more fruits and vegetables is that you also consume more fiber. It has been said that early man consumed over 100 grams of fiber a day and studies have shown that those living today in the African Bush eat close to 500 grams of fiber every day. Most of us are lucky if we consume 25 grams of fiber. The lack of fiber in our diets is one of the biggest reasons for our declining health and our increasing rates of obesity and overweight. Eating enough fruits, vegetables and other foods high in fiber can prove to be a budget breaker and therefore out of reach for too many individuals and families. A very cost effective way to ensure that you get enough fiber in your diet is to supplement with PGX at every meal. I have long promoted PGX as a way for people to increase their fiber intake in addition to realizing it’s many other benefits, such as weight loss and blood sugar stabilizing. According to Dr. Mehmet Oz on a recent show broadcast, there is no better source of fiber on Earth than PGX.
