    I just listened to Dr. Mehmet Oz‘s radio interview…with ME! He’s amazing and I still so grateful that he and Dr. Rozien took their time to talk with me!
    note at 15:50 into it, he says: “I’m particulary impressed with how you deal with the emotional elements of dieting and I don’t think it’s possible to do it as effectively as you do unless you’ve lived it and been on the front lines like you.”

    Folks, he’s RIGHT! And that’s why EVERY “diet” that gives you a printed out ‘menu and says eat exactly this way and exercise this much and you will lose weight and/or take this pill’ WILL NOT EVER WORK!!! If you fail to deal with the emotional elements of dieting, you will be one of the 95% of “dieters” who gain ALL the weight they lost back, and perhaps one of the 90% of them who gained MORE back!

    I started on this journey 20 years ago. I lost 130 pounds and have kept MORE than 100 OFF for all this time. I guess Dr. Oz was right, it’s not possible to tell someone how to do it effectively unless you’ve lived it.

    I know, I was there. After two kids and a failed marriage, I had plenty of excuses why I had gained an extra 130 pounds. You start spiraling out of control until the very thing you should be avoiding is the thing that you turn to for comfort.

    Friends and family say, “Just go on a diet.” But, you know better than anybody else that diets just don’t work.

    Sure, maybe you’ll lose some weight for a while, but then – seemingly overnight – those pounds are back with a vengeance. It’s so tough to take the weight off, so why does it seem to come back twice as fast? Talk about discouraging. Every time you gain back the weight, you feel even more hopeless. I’m sorry if you’ve experienced this kind of pain your life.

    And, it doesn’t matter whether you’re 15 or 115 pounds overweight, every pound you don’t want is one pound too many!

    Who Is Julia?
    Many years ago, I went through the pain of being 130 pounds overweight. I suffered through the embarrassment, the low self esteem, and the feeling of being out of control. My health was worsening and I didn’t have the energy to keep up with my young children or do my job well. I was always tired and felt unattractive, and after I tried and “failed” with just about every diet on the planet, I honestly felt there was something must be wrong with me. I would lose weight here and there, but then gain it all back – often even more each time.

    After every diet, I would end up even more discouraged than I had been before. I was uncomfortable in my own skin and was afraid that people would always judge me for what I looked like on the outside rather than who I was on the inside. In fact, I really just wanted my body to match the person I felt like I was on the inside. So, after a long battle, I did something that shocked everybody. I threw everything I had read and learned about dieting out the window.

    I had a hunch that there was a different, better, and permanent way to lose weight – and improve my whole life. So I decided to go for it and prove to myself that making just one change to my life would force the weight off of me forever. My hunch worked and I have lost 130 pounds and have kept it off for 12+ years.

    I discovered the single secret to weight loss that anybody can use to lose as much weight as they want and keep it off permanently.

    Now, I’ve made my life’s purpose to help others like you learn the truth about weight loss so you too can succeed.

    I am tired to the diet industry insisting that we can “eat the foods we LOVE” in moderation; I mean think about it; IF we could eat the foods we love in healthful moderation, we wouldn’t have an obesity pandemic on our hands! Would we? I don’t think it’s right.

    We compassionately tell an alcoholic or drug addict that they need to abstain from their vices in order to live a life without the complications and side-effects of their addiction. We don’t taunt them with a tease of “just have vodka in moderation” or “On Sundays you can have all the alcohol you want”. Yet, these types of plans, i.e. the “diet” plans like Body for Life that irresponsibly direct a food addict to consume, in any quantity, the very foods that got them overweight in the first place! I know what I am talking about.

    One of MY best success stories, Valerie tried Body for Life in her desire to get “skinny” for her wedding. She asked me what I thought of it while on the phone when she asked me to be a bridesmaid in her upcoming wedding. I said it was a best seller,seemed successful at helping people get cut, but I didn’t think she needed to lose more weight. Despite the fact she was 185 lbs thinner, had endured surgery to remove excess skin and was a stunning size 10, Valerie embarked like many brides do on the ‘wedding diet’. Taking Bill’s advice, and going against mine, she indulged in her vices on Sunday the first week. Well, by Tuesday the Rally’s burger called her name.

    With the wedding date approaching I had stopped getting the weekly calls or emails from my friend Val. I began to wonder what I had done to upset her and why she wasn’t talking to me. Well, here’s what happened.

    Within 3 months, this bride-to-be regained 65 lbs. She was so embarrassed and didn’t now how to tell me. I arrived to town and she was crying. I LOVE this woman, regardless of a few extra pounds. I can say, I do NOT love Bill Phillips or his Body for Life disservice or “diet” as it’s called. The wedding day came and went and the pounds found have indeed become her body for life as she struggles to this day to reclaim her pre-diet figure!

    Stories like that, along with many of my own from my years of failed dieting have made me upset, frustrated and well, as Dr. Oz called me on his Oprah & Friends XM show, an Obesity activist! I KNOW that Vice Busting is the solution to the Obesity crisis and now, I am on a mission to do something about it!
