Twenty-Five ways to Improve Your Health and Life Expectancy!

1.  Decide to take control of each and every aspect of your life!!

2.  Make every decision with certainty, always improving the time which it takes to decide! The shorter the time for making a decision, the more time you will have to truly live!!

3.  Live each day with an attitude of love and happiness!

4.  Smile as often as possible! This will keep not only your face from sagging, but your thoughts and body as well!

5.  Imagine you are without your body, yet possess the ability to PERCEIVE. Look at the your life like a fast playing film, and perceive every day and minute of every experience. Seeing it this way, can you honestly say you are happy with all of the things you accomplished (experienced)? Did you make a dent in the way the world lives, considering the abilities you had (have)? Having made this observation, decide what it is you would truly like to do from this moment on! Get excited about it, an do it!

6.  Learn to confront every fear you have ever had! You'll find out it's better than you thought it wouldn't be!!

7.  Always eat breakfast, as this will start your metabolism, and make the body use fuel more efficiently!

8.  Avoid alcohol.  It breaks down collagen, which keeps tissue toned, including the skin and especially the face. If you do, hold to one drink per day.

9.  Eat foods that are organically grown? unprocessed, unrefined, natural, including sugars and flours. The body was made from nature, so give it natural fuel!

10.  Keep salt intake to less than or very close to 3 grams /day, which shouldn't be a problem if you're eating RIGHT!!

11.  Avoid eating within two to three hours of bedtime. You'll sleep well, keep unwanted pounds from adding on, and awaken with energy!

12.  Reduce meat to a minimum. The best protein comes from fish and beans, for example. More can be said for the difference in health between meat eaters and non?meat eaters. By and large the average vegetarian is healthier than the average meat eater.

13.  Reduce protein intake to a maximum of 1 gram per 2 pounds of body weight. This amounts to approximately 75 grams for a 200 pound male.

14.  If at all possible, never eat fast food.  'Fast,' because it will speed your way to the grave!! The feeling of being "full" to relieve hunger is the only benefit derived from this food.

15.  Increase fiber intake?most will come from vegetables and whole grains, as well as legumes (beans).

16.  If you're overweight, eat as much fresh fruit, vegetables, and legumes as you want. You will be your ideal weight in a few short months, if not weeks!!

17.  Reduce your calories from fat to 10% of the total calories. Remember, there are 9 calories per gram of fat, while there are only 4 calories per gram of protein and carbohydrates! So eat the same # of grams, but get 30% less calories!

18.  Eat two carrots and/or two apples per day, or one of each. The benefits are too numerous to mention!!

19.  Eat broccoli or cauliflower with every dinner, or at least 3 times per week!

20.  Eat darker colored fruits and vegetables. You will receive a higher vitamin and mineral content than with lighter colored ones! (like a red grapefruit as opposed to a white one).

21.  Avoid foods with nitrosamines?these are known cancer-causing agents?usually in pickled or salt?cured foods like packaged meats.

22.  Some other excellent foods to consider:  oat bran, grapefruit, melons, strawberries, kiwi, apples, oranges, wheat, peaches, plums, bananas, carrots, broccoli, cabbage, grapes, corn, eggplant, mushrooms, fish, potatoes, peas, squash, tomato, herbal tea, papaya, onions, garlic, lettuce, shrimp!

23.  Keep caffeine intake to a minimum, if at all, and instead make eating healthy a natural stimulant for energy and alertness?fruits are great for this!!

24.  Drink clean, room temperature, filtered water in the amount of 6 to 8 eight ounce glasses per day. Even water at room temperature is better assimilated in the body.

25.  For optimal nutritional gain from all consumables, eat foods uncooked and at room temperature! (unless cooking is required!).
