    DAILY CHALLENGES

Try choosing two of these and put them into your daily planner if you don’t do them already. This will help you establish the habit so they are second nature in your daily life!

Many of these you will see are actions that you can (and should) do each day.

Primary:

Give up the ONE food or drink that has been contributing the most calories in my diet…and…replace it with a healthy substitute.

Carry my water bottle with me at all times and drink from it often, while limiting intake of any other liquid.

Do 10 minutes of exercise.

Read positive affirmations twice today.

Read for 15 minutes about health (in any area), fitness, or current or future job

Spend time with children or spouse or family member or good friend.


Secondary:

Eat three fruits and vegetables.

Take up a new exercise.

Volunteer time at a charitable organization.

Spend time with others who are seeking to lose weight.

Help someone at work who is struggling with a task.

Enlist co-workers to join you in a lunch-time walk.


What’s important to realize about the examples above, is that they are all suggested actions that are healthy and positive. Each one of them provides growth in some area of our lives and can be done daily. If you already do some of the Primary challenges, be sure that you have developed those actions into a habit. If you feel you are struggling with being consistent each day with one of them, then be sure you write it down on your daily planner. This will give you more of a feeling of commitment to fulfilling this task.

The Secondary challenges are those that you can work up to. They won’t happen overnight, but can be actions that you strive to do on a regular basis, even though you may not do them everyday.

These are all simple actions that, if performed everyday, will begin to and continue to make substantial changes in your weight, your attitude, and your overall health!
