  WEEKLY  CHALLENGES
These are Weekly GOALS (or challenges) that you can shoot for. Make a note in your daily planner listing what you would like to accomplish by the end of the week. And don’t forget to have a REWARD planned for reaching these goals. Make these the actions that you will commit to each day of the week, as well as those you would like to do some time during the week!

Primary:

Give up, and replace with a health substitute, my #1 contributor to my weight.

Carry and drink from a water bottle each day of the week.

Exercise at least 3 times this week.

Make a list and pick up healthy foods, snacks, and meals for the week.

Learn about a new subject to improve your health – mind, body, spirit, or job.

Spend time with family or friends doing a healthy activity.

Secondary:

Organize the kitchen, and eliminate unhealthy foods, drinks, or snacks.

Organize and clean out your closets, giving to charity old clothes.

Find a new way to be more productive at work.
Plan a special day or time for a friend or family member.

Call a friend or family member to enhance your relationship.

Plan a time to reward yourself with a fun and healthy activity.

The point of having these weekly “challenges” planned is to give you something to look forward to beyond today. Completing your tasks for the day may become easier as time goes on, so it is necessary to look forward to the days ahead. Remember, we’re not looking at the peak, only the few steps that are ahead of us. As time goes on, you can revise your list to greater goals and challenges. For instance, you can challenge yourself to 30 minutes of exercise 4 times a week, and eventually 5 times a week. The point is to work up to it. View these as “challenges” to motivate yourself to see what you can accomplish, while also making them attainable goals. You want to get that “feeling” of success, so your successes breed more successes. Remember this saying: “Nothing succeeds like success!”
